Points to Ponder     Number 21   19th October, 2014

Writing Points to Ponder has become more and more difficult for me. Not because there is insufficient material. Just the opposite. I am overwhelmed by and fearful of the ever growing anti-Semitic anti-Israel vitriol, not only in the Muslim world but in what are supposed to be enlightened and democratic countries.

I am bewildered and baffled by the refusal of those same enlightened and democratic countries to see Muslim terrorism for what it is, to hearken to the words of Muslim “activists” who state so openly and clearly their aims and intentions.

Take a moment to see Muslim demonstrations in Rome, London, Spain, Paris and America which the politically correct media have hidden from the public, perhaps to avoid repercussions.

“Parts of downtown Hamburg, the second-largest city in Germany, resembled a war zone after hundreds of supporters of the jihadist group Islamic State [IS] engaged in bloody street clashes with ethnic Kurds.

“The violence—which police say was as ferocious as anything seen in Germany in recent memory—is fuelling a sense of foreboding about the spillover effects of the fighting in Syria and Iraq.”

“I say to the entire world as a warning: We are living under the Islamic flag, the Islamic caliphate. We will die for it until we liberate those occupied lands, from Jakarta to Andalusia. And I declare: Spain is the land of our forefathers and we are going to take it back with the power of Allah.”

So says a jihadist in Spanish.

In a world so fearful of accusations of purported Islamophobia, where even a cartoon seems to justify the ostensibly insulted Muslim propensity to riot and murder, anti-Semitism runs rampant. Jews are being told by their fearful leaders to disguise their head covering with a baseball cap and to hide the Star of David around their necks. Synagogues, cemeteries, Jewish community centers, homes and businesses are sprayed with swastikas and graffiti reminiscent of Germany in the 1930’s.

In order to keep the statistics of anti-Semitic attacks to a minimum, rarely are these crimes defined as such. Sort of like calling the murder of American soldiers at Fort Worth by a fellow Muslim shouting “Allah u Akbar” a work-related accident.

To such a degree has the claim of a Zionist/Jewish/Israeli conspiracy taken hold that, to counter the indisputable fact that statistically Jews have won more Nobel prizes than their 0.2% of the world’s population seems to warrant, a lengthy pseudo-scientific study proving such a conspiracy exists and that members of that illustrious society’s selection committees are part of that conspiracy is once again doing the rounds.

Unbelievably endorsed by the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden & Homulus Foundation, Los Angeles, CA, USA, you can view it here.

And if we are in Norway and Sweden and you have the time, listen to this interesting address by an Arab diplomat from Jaffa given last month in Oslo. It starts very quietly but as George Deek gains confidence it becomes more audible.

Refugees from Syria, Iraq and the rest of the ME number hundreds of thousands but there has been no campaign to provide them with assistance to face the coming winter. The half-hearted attempts to prevent the wanton killing of Christians, Kurds and Yazidis by Shiite and Sunni Muslims, who are also killing one another, has failed.

There has been no attempt to mobilize donations to assist those countries in Africa which are in the midst of an Ebola crisis and severely lack hospitals and medical facilities. Haiti too, facing a death threatening cholera epidemic, has received minimal assistance.

BUT … Four point five billion US dollars, that is $4,500.000,000.00, were collected to help the Palestinians rebuild the Gaza Strip. The money will be going to the same Hamas leaders who stole 700 million dollars which had been collected for the people of Gaza according to the Fatah spokesman Ahmad Assaf.

“Rebuilding or repairing infrastructure in the Gaza Strip is the best thing that could have happened to Hamas. Hamas knows that every dollar invested in the Gaza Strip will serve the interests of the Islamist movement. The promised funds absolve Hamas of all responsibility for the catastrophe it brought upon the Palestinians during the confrontation with Israel”.

These are the words of the Palestinian journalist, Khaled Abu Toameh.

In case there is any doubt what the money and the building materials will be used for Al-Jazeera TV (Qatar) has provided a preview of the new tunnels being built to replace those destroyed by Israel. The tunnels have only one purpose. They are to serve as launching pads in an attack on Israeli civilians in the south, an attack which was thwarted by the war in the summer.
